IBM Security X-Force Cyber Range Creative Director

Since October 2021, I have been leading the design and creative direction for the IBM state-of-the-art X-Force Cyber Range. I manage all of our content from experience storylines and immersive videos and imagery, to client and sales enablement. I also create new scenarios for clients based on current trends and real-world cyberattacks. Additionally, I have assisted in the launch of two of our new centers globally.

Most of my work for the X-Force Cyber Range is proprietary and confidential; however, you can catch a glimpse of what I do in some of our marketing and PR.

IBM Marketing Transformation Change Management & Communications

In 2020 and 2021, IBM Marketing began a huge MarTech transformation. I led the CMS transformation communications. I engaged marketers with change management communications through dynamic webpage content, podcasts, migration dashboards, blogs, animated explainers, and traditional PowerPoint decks.

I strategized the content type, audience, as well as the actual content. I worked with various SMEs to bring the content to life and publish it on the right forum at the right time. The audience for this work ranged from 4K to 10K. Smaller audiences included practitioners interested in how their roles would evolve, while larger audiences included all of marketing.

Consumer Reports: Omni-Channel Social Media Campaign Posts

During my tenure at CR, I worked on a variety of projects and campaigns ranging from consumer privacy awareness, holiday shopping promotions and membership pushes, and promotion of Consumer 101 (an NBC show hosted by Jack Rico) and Consumidor 101 (a Univision show also hosted by Jack Rico).

I wrote and strategized copy for Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. My aim was to promote the video and static content I was creating to drive show viewership, and ultimately membership sign-ups. My video content included video animation, swipe-up designs for Instagram stories, and dynamic animated Instagram stories promoting the show and related articles. I primarily used Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, and Premiere Pro.

I strategized the social media content in conjunction with the communications, writers, and video teams. The social media team was a key part in daily scrums. I pitched article ideas based on social Sprinklr data to journalists to further drive engagement.


 

Animation Design

My love of animation blossomed a bit later in my career. At Consumer Reports, I worked on swipe-up designs in AfterEffects, animated Instagram stories, and text movement for social media design. At IBM, I do a lot of draw my life-esque videos explaining various topics to IBMers. Additionally, I have created a few passion projects and my university thesis with animated features. I primarily use AfterEffects, Premiere Pro, Procreate, Illustrator, and Photoshop. I also have explored hand-and-paper animation.

Product Design & Art

I have been creating since I was a kid, so in 2016 I started my own e-commerce shop. I use both traditional mediums like watercolor, acrylics, and colored pencils; as well as digital mediums through Procreate. I strategize my designs based on pop culture, the news, politics, and cultural news; though I do create art I love and am passionate about. I mostly sell my art through Redbubble, but I do take some commissioned pieces on occasion.

The next step for me is to create more physical products to sell on my own shop or Etsy.
